Your order is an offer to buy from us. The placing of an order anywhere on our website does not constitute a contract. A contract is made only when we accept your order and process payment. We reserve the right not to accept any order and may decline to supply the goods or services to you without giving any reason. All goods are offered subject to availability. We cannot guarantee the availability of specific vintages. We will not sell or deliver alcohol to anyone who is, or appears to be, under the age of 18. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and we reserve the right not to deliver if we are unsure of this.
Our website checks stock against our inventory stock at time of purchase so is not guaranteed as accurate in all circumstances. If a product is unavailable after an order is placed, we shall contact you to arrange replacement, or another acceptable arrangement for the completion of your order if substitutions have not been selected. No payment will be taken until you have confirmed the amended order.
All prices are inclusive of UK VAT. Promotional offers and prices are as stated, with no further discounts available. Although we endeavor to ensure that all pricing information on this website is accurate, occasionally an error may occur and goods may be priced incorrectly. If we discover a pricing error we will, at our discretion, either: contact you and ask you whether you wish to cancel your order or continue with the order at the correct price; or notify you that we have cancelled your order. We will not be obliged to supply goods at the incorrect price. We reserve the right to adjust prices, offers, goods and specifications of goods at our discretion at any time before (but not after) we accept your order. Where an end date is specified on any offer on the website, it is intended as a guide only. We reserve the right to change prices at any time.
When you subscribe to the L’Uva wine club you will be added to our members list and payment will be taken on the day you subscribe. Payment will then be taken on the same date for each month of your subscription.
Your wine will be dispatched around or on the last day of the month, accounting for non-working days, and so your delicious box of wine should arrive with you on the first or second working day of the next month!
For those opting for the alternate month plan, your first box will be delivered to you after the first two payments have been taken. For example, if you subscribed on the 23rd July your box will arrive on the first working day of September, the second will arrive on the first working day of November and so on.
If you wish to cancel your subscription, please get in touch and we can make the arrangements to cancel your subscription.
How to Pay
We accept Maestro, Visa, MasterCard. Orders may be delayed by transfers of money or credit card authorizations not being confirmed by the respective banks. Please note that it is the customer’s responsibility to contact the bank to speed up the process if the order is required urgently. Credit cards are always debited in UK pounds sterling. Please note that payment will be taken in full at the time or ordering.
Standard delivery is within 1- 2 days from the day of placing the order. Free delivery on all orders with a value over £150 for UK mainland destinations. Orders below £150 value carriage will be charged at £10.00 per consignment.
Quality of Guarantee
We are committed to providing our customers with an unsurpassed level of service and are equally committed to ensuring we provide a safe and legal product. If a wine is corked or faulty we will offer a replacement so long as it is returned to us within 5 days of opening to enable us to verify the condition and the problem. Many wines are sold to drink young and if a wine has been kept too long or stored inappropriately, we may not be able to offer a refund. All wines and spirits or other goods ordered remain the property of L’Uva Wine Merchants until payment is received in full.
Failure to pay
Should your credit or debit card have insufficient credit, we reserve the right to invoice you for the costs incurred in making requests for payment.
Exchange or Return
You may return unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund, including return postage, if you have received the wrong item. For damaged items, please check your delivery before signing for it. If anything is damaged please ask the driver to note damages on their sheet AND your delivery note and sign both themselves before you sign for the delivery. We will exchange or refund any breakages acknowledged this way by the driver on delivery. We cannot accept responsibility for and breakages that have been signed for as complete. You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in most cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper, the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it, and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request. If you need to return an item, please contact us with your order number and details about the product you would like to return. We will respond with instructions for how to return items from your order.
We do not exchange and or otherwise give away your e-mail address to other companies. Your e-mail address and other information are used solely by us for purposes of contacting you regarding your orders and to up-date you with our newsletter. We may have to disclose your information to service providers to complete your order. These providers include FedEx and other carriers. We guarantee that every online purchase you make from our store is a secure transaction. We will take all reasonable care to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorized access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the Website.
